True love is unexplainable. A very close friend of mine is in a not-so bizaare love triangle. Not so …because ,as we all know, a lot of things happen when you get struck by love … or whatever you wanna call it. Anyway, I want to share their story so we can all ponder what is best if we get into a situation similar to it.

Irene and Rayver (not their real names) have been seeing each other for several years now. I used the word "seeing" because they are not together. You see, Rayver has a family. He is not married but he has daughters to a woman who I will call Kaye. And they have been living in one roof for the longest time. According to Rayver, it is because " the children needs him" that he cannot leave Kaye.  Irene, on the other hand, has a son to his ex-husband.But she has long dumped the guy before she even met Rayver. Both Rayver and Irene are so in love with each other. They do things together. See each other everyday. Fight with each other. Kiss and make up with each other and do everything that people in a relationship does except that they have to end the day going towards different directions. Irene  has always been upset with the situation. Both Rayver and Irene thought they wouldnt last long. However, there was something really strong that kept them hoping theyd still stand another chance.

Kaye, of course, does not like this. She didnt give Rayver children out of nowhere. She loves him so much from then until now. She will not let go of him. No matter what she sees, hears and discovers of him, she gets so blind because of her unparalleled love for him. For her, she is the wife. She is the mother of his kids. She is home base.

Rayver is confuse. She loves both Kaye and Irene. Kaye, for being who she is, the long-time partner, the fall back, the loving person who will always be there, the mother of his kids… and Irene for being what he needs. When ask who he loves, he answers the face he first sees. Its not like he enjoys the situation. He just cant choose between love and love.

Irene, Rayver and Kaye are 3 people fighting for 3 different kind of love. All of which is true love because it exists. They may be loving for the right or wrong reasons. But they are in love. Lest they come up with acceptance will their soul be free. Free in a sense that they accept truth how hurting it would be. That one is loved less than the other. You see, once you get into a love triangle, you need to understand a lot of things. That you might find yourself alone but never unloved or find yourself winning but never in full. Of course some may be able to get a happy ending, that is, if, for example,Rayver leaves Irene before she gets her pregnant and goes back to Kaye. Or if he abandons Kaye and the kids for his true love Irene. But that would be so cruel, right? Maybe its realy just a matter of of choosing ….. or should i say "acceptance"?

As to this moment, Irene and Rayver are still dating and in love. Kaye is still together with Rayver. And Im still friends with Irene.
